Inquiry Team

Our annual goal for inquiry was to encourage teachers to analyze and compare student data inorder to differeniate instruction.

By June 2010, the Inquiry Process will be evident as 90% of teachers gather data, plan , and set goals and develop coherent and cohesive instruction.

The Inquiry Team survey findings show that 48% of our staff are somewhat familiar with the responsibilities of the inquiry team. 23% of the staff are familiar and 29% state that they are not familiar at all. Our next steps in closing the gap on our school wide inquiry goal is to create grade level teacher teams. They will meet regularly to discuss curriculum and student achievement while using the inquiry process as the protocol to scaffold the team's work.

In September, we will continue building teacher team capacity. These teacher team's will work collaboratively to aggregate and organize available assessments on grade and school level. We look forward to the upcoming school year.

The Core Inquiry Team created a news letter to share reflections of this year's work . You can find a copy of the news letter on the NING and Lynne Gunther will also be e-mailing a copy to everyone. There is also a hard copy posted in room 216 on the bulletin board.
